PSI is giving me a message saying this is insecure and that I should get a security patch, however running the notepad++ updater and going to the notepad++ site does not reveal any later version.

This thread explains what I have done to alert Secunia - There appears to be no SA covering this alleged vulnerability & it is very odd that they have posted a vulnerability exposure on the Programs sub Forum rather than their normal Vulnerability Alert Forum.

I have deleted your duplicate post for U.

Hope this helps. I would sit tight until tomorrow.

Hi,

There is no vulnerability in Notepad++ (In this version, at this date), and this issue was caused by some version rules created while testing some planned new features.

The issue should have been resolved, and we appologize for any inconvenience.

A full PSI scan has removed the false positive on my test PC.

If U get the same favourable result my advice is to unsubscribe from this thread to protect your mail box from update emails from any "tag on" posts.
