Maybe one of the experts here can help me. I am trying to install Corel Word Perfect Office X5 from the oficial (and payed) cd on my pc in vain. Just after start of the process I'll get error 1711 telling me that there isn't enough disc space. My hd is 244gb, available +/- 225. Corel Support is not willing to help me because it is a windows error and thus not their responsibility. Their advice: re-install Vista and try again. However, I have re-installed Vista three weeks ago, processed all Microsoft updates and then re-installed all my software. Because I am unable to install Vista myself it must be done by my dealer which cost me 60 euros and now I have to do it again. I tried to read and understand information about this error on the Microsoft site but I don't understand what I have to do. Besides this it's strange that I can easily install the 30 days trial version of this product and it works fine. Corel however is not willing to give me a licence key to legalise the trial version because of error 1711. Ideas are very welcome.

Hi Maurice, thanks, good idea! I looked into X5 and there is no option to register available. But I have seen a warning screen popping up once a day
telling me that the trial period is nearing it's end. I expect it's warning me again tomorrow. I'll try to register then and let you know.

I tried to register with the serial number in the cd box in vain. The serial number is invalid. I think this is caused by the fact that the product can be ob-
tained by ordering a cd box with serial number or download and use the trial
version for 30 days and then buy a licence code.

Worth the try. I suspected that would happen. Not sure I can really be of much help. The fix to your problem is very much "hands on" but should not include a reinstall of Windows. I certainly do not want to try giving U written instructions on a possible fix without first seeing what is already installed on your PC or the status of your drivers.

The only advice I can offer is to ask the person who reinstalled Windows to load it for U.

Sorry I cannot be more helpful.

Thanks Maurice, you gave good advice. I agree with you and contact my dealer and see what he can do.
