Dear Mr. Joyce:

Installing a 71+MB fix for a 637kb program seems unreasonable,
So using File Shredder v2.0
because I couldn't find FlexNet Publisher 11.x in Add/Remove Programs.
I went into Safe Mode;
Shredded: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Macrovision Shared\FLEXnet Publisher &
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Macrovision Shared
Unfortunately both programs are still there.

**How do I get rid of FlexNet Publisher 11.x?**

Sincerely,

Ralphgold

Sorry for the delay in responding. I hope U are not thinking that I work for or are sponsored by Secunia? I am neither but have been watching the main thread dealing with this problem.

The main thread is here:
http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/113...

As you will note/have noted the issue is extremely confusing for many home users despite comments from Secunia Officials. I would prefer to wait for a response from Secunia on the interesting post created by @ponyboy.

As far as I am concerned a WORKAROUND has been suggested by Secunia which has worked (for some)provided U are prepared to install an additional programme. A real SOLUTION to update the offending file has not been offered apart from advice to contact the ORIGINAL vendor (Adobe is one) of the programme causing grief.

In the interim, the vulnerability is only moderate, so there should be no real panic to update. Just be cautious using the programme that requires FlexNet.

I would NOT uninstall/delete it yet or create a PSI ignore rule.

Not to helpful at this stage but I will respond in detail once I see what Secunia have to say on the main thread tomorrow.
