PSI is showing my corporate edition of NOD32 to be End-of-Life. It's the latest version. I just verified it. 4.2.71.2
The home edition is v5 now which is what the PSI update link takes me to.

I would create a new suggest programme to Secunia. There is a comments box U can fill out where U have the opportunity to tell them the facts. I would include the hyperlink to the download which clearly states U have the correct version for business:

SUGGESTING A NEW PROGRAMME TO SECUNIA

Secunia do not accept programmes in ALPHA or BETA for inclusion in their database

VERSION 2

1. From the DASHBOARD page click on RESULTS.
2. On the RESULTS page look above the tab INSTALL SOLUTION & U will see a green icon & ARE YOU MISSING A PROGRAM?
3. Click it. Fill out the details requested.
4. Click SUGGEST SOFTWARE.

ALL OLDER PSI VERSIONS

1. Open the PATCHED or SECURE BROWSING tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom where U will see a link in blue ink "Program Missing? Suggest It Here!"
3. Click the link & then fill out the details in the boxes that appear(the important bit is the FILE SELECTION).
4.Click Suggest Program.

Normally,Secunia respond by email that the programme has been added to their database. A full PSI scan should reveal it.

Hi,

Currently we have no way of telling apart ESET NOD32 Antivirus Home Edition 4.x and ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition 4.x, in regards to file information. Therefore, until the vendor makes alterations to the file information, the issue is out of our hands.

We are aware of the issue, and have contacted the vendor in an attempt to resolve it.

While we do not recommend it, you are able to create an ignore rule for the program, until the issue is resolved.

If you wish to create an ignore rule, please follow this step of our FAQ: http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal...

Hope this helps.

Hi Maurice

I'm having the same problem with my antivirus showing end of life.

C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\egui.exe, version 4.0.437.0

Now, you know me, and you know I am at a loss what to do with it. It is paid for by my student sponsors for 4 years so I cannot just get rid.

I've checked the programme but it shows as being uptodate.

Apart from my having the screaming abdabs, I am at a loss at what to do. Saw the suggest bit. Still at a loss. (as you might expect).

Sorry, Maurice, just seen the 'Secunia Official' message. I shall have to ignore it, I guess. Bit unnerving though.

Valerie.

Is it the Business edition? I suspect it is in which case I would ignore the issue. There is no V5 for business.

Secunia are looking at ways to separate the business from home programme.

Hi Maurice

Thanks for responding so quickly. I cannot tell whether or not I have the professional version, only that it is paid for until September 2014. I right-clicked on the icon and had a look but could see nothing identifying whether I have Home or Professional.

Meanwhile, I trust it means that my machine is protected.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Valerie

Same to U. I would not be too concerned given U are covered by a third party. Maybe worth a email to them at some stage to check they are aware of the issue.

Thanks, Maurice.

Actually, I did send an email to them several hours ago, even though I knew Secunia was on the case. It will be interesting to read what they have to say, if I get a response, that is.

From what I can gather, their email address is: support@eset.co.uk

I pasted in Jais Vemmer's response here.

Further to my emailing ESET yesterday, I have spoken at great length with the technical department at ESET this morning and they have upgraded my software remotely. I now have V5.

If anyone who has the Home Edition has problems with their software showing End of Life (not sure about Professional), then you can ring the following number:

Thank you for contacting Eset Technical Support. Please call our Technical Support team on 0845-8380832 Opt 3. We are open 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday, and 8am to 8pm Mondays to Fridays.

My Secunia is now back to 100%.

ESET are really on the ball.
