Hi -
I was just here with a similar problem on a different computer. Maurice solved that one.

Secunia tells me that I have Firefox 2.0.x as an end-of-life program. (I believe it is part of an educational software program.) Secunia also says I have Firefox 3.6.25. Help About says I have 3.6.25. I have previously also upgraded this installation from FF 3.6.24 up to FF 9.0.1, but it does not seem to know anything about that anymore.

When I upgrade 2.0.x up to 3.6.25 it does the upgrade, but after I do the Secunia Scan it tells me that there was an "error downloading file".

Detected Instances:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bolchazy-Carducci\artlat1\firefox\firefox.ex e, version 2.0.0.2

Latest Version - patching one or more vulnerabilities:
3.6.x

How can I delete this old version of FF 2.0.0.2 and have only 3.6.25 (which I will upgrade to 9.0.1)? I will have a Secunia score of 100% once this is solved.

Many thanks.

Doug

Hi,

SInce the instance of Firefox 2.0.x is embedded in third-party program, it should not be detected independently.

If you run a full rescan now, it should be removed from the results.

Hope this helps.

Doug,
Pleased to see that your other problem is solved. I have locked that thread for U.

It is a good idea to lock your threads when U have solved your problem for the following reasons:

1. It will stop your mail box from being updated by users creating "tag on" posts.

2. It indicates to Forum readers the a problem has been successfully resolved which might interest them if they have a like issue.

U will note on every post (except your own) an ACCEPT button. To lock the thread just activate that button on the post that helped U the most.

Hope this helps.

Hi Eric -
I did a full scan and it did indeed update me to 100%. So thank you. Much appreciated.

How can I close this thread?
