I added the path to 6 .net files to the ignore list, since PSI identifies them as insecure and I do not want to update them.

PSI continues to show these programs as insecure, despite them being in the ignore list.

Is there a way to have PSI truly ignore these files?

Tks

Are U saying that U have carried out this action on each vulnerability Secunia has exposed & after a reboot & full PSI scan they are still nagging U?

PROGRAMME EXCLUSION RULE

Open PSI>Scan results>expand any programme by clicking the "+" to the left of the programme entry.
This will reveal DETECTED INSTANCES and below it two Yellow Folders. Click the folder with the RED dot which will create an Ignore Rule for that item.

Maurice: Yes, you've hit it exactly. The bad items are shown in the ignore list, but PSI continues to include them in the found bad items list.

I've re-booted and re-scanned. No change. Next step, I think is to delete them from the ignore list and try again.

What do you think?

Grant,
Yes I would give that a try.

Edit: I am surprised your OS is also not showing as insecure? This happens normally when U have vital updates pending from Windows Update where those items are patched from.

I did as we agreed and all is clear now. The OS shows fine. PSI only had an issue with 4 missing .Net updates.

Take care, and thanks
