After installing the latest version of Flash Player (10.3.183.16), an old version, "Flash10x.ocx" remains in the directory:

C:\Windows\System32\Macromed|Flash\

Even though I am the administrator, Windows will not let me delete the file. Windows will also not let me change the permissions for this file.

Windows 7 Home Premium, 32 bit.

I have rescanned and rebooted and rescanned.

Any ideas?

That is almost certainly due to the fact that Flash is in use.

This action will allow deletion.

Shut down (use the Task Manager if necessary (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) to COMPLETELY EXIT these processes if running)):
a. All Browsers.
b. Windows Messenger.
c. Incredimail.
d. All Adobe Products.

A full PSI rescan should reveal the vulnerability has been removed.
