Hi,

How can I update npjava32.dll in my actual DW installation?
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\JVM\bin\

I do have 3 other files of the same name, but different writings like NPjava32.dll:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CS4ServiceManager\jre\bin\NPjava32.dll

Can I just copy that file and replace that one in DW?

I believe this is another false positive by Secunia. That file is not vulnerable & is embedded in Adobe Dreamweaver.

They should not be pointing U to JAVA nor to their SPS download that fixes the standalone JAVA.

This problem has happened elsewhere on the Forum. See this thread as an example:

http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/124...

I will add this thread to my reminder email to Secunia Support to comment on.

My advice is to do nothing until U hear from Secunia.

Please perform a full system rescan with the PSI and let us know if that has now solved the issue.

I'm very sorry. A rescan will take time. I'm on holiday right now. I'll do a rescan for sure when I'm back. Thank you so far for your help.

Seems the creators of DW use an old file for many of their newer versions of DW.
Even my DW8 has this very exact file.
I also have been unable to trace a newer version.

As it's now Dreamweaver is an Adobe product.
My experience with Adobe is that they almost never reply nor seem to appreciate error reports.

So I presume contacting them would not solve this issue.
However the more complaints, they may make awake and then hopefully start patching.

I remember that I had a similar problem with DW or FW a long time ago. The solution was to copy an intact, actual file from another program into Macromedias Program.

Hi,

If you run a full rescan this problem should no longer occur.

Hope this helps.
