I have Win 7 Home Premium 64bit.I have had some problems updating some software, especially Adobe Flash Player. I have used the Adobe uninstaller software, run CCleaner ( a registry cleaner) to remove any trace of Flash, downloaded and installed the latest version 11.2.202.228 . However,PSI still insists I am running an older version of Flash. What I see is: " The version detected of Adobe Flash Player 10.x (NPAPI) was 10.1.102.64 (NPAPI) while the latest version including one or more security fixes is 10.3.183.16 (NPAPI)." Please advise, thanks!

No uninstaller or Cleaner can clear them from a Sandbox. To remove them do this:

DELETING A FILE OR FOLDER USING PSI VERSION 2

1. Open PSI>Scan results.

2. Against the programme marked as vulnerable is a + sign to the left of it.

3. Click that & it will reveal DETECTED INSTANCES.

4. Below that are two yellow folders. Click the one WITHOUT a red dot.

5. That will open Windows Explorer & U will be able to see the vulnerable files.
C:\Backup\Sandbox\Miohael_Dowling\DefaultBox\dr ive\C\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll, version: 10.1.102.64 (NPAPI)
C:\Sandbox\Miohael_Dowling\DefaultBox\drive\C\Wind ows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll, version: 10.1.102.64 (NPAPI)

6. Right click on each one & select delete.

7. Carry out a full PSI scan & all should be in order.

After clicking the folder WITHOUT a RED DOT just right click on the Flash Folder in the left hand pane(which is highlighted in your graphic) to remove it all or the NPSWF32.dll file in the right hand pane

Then do the same with the other file.

As U can see by clicking the folder with a red dot U can create an ignore rule - I would not advise that action.

The two folders (indicated by the arrows) without the red dot no longer open.I deleted the whole flash folder from each.I don't see anything left to delete: http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/5517/folderss.j... The only other listing for a flash player is for the latest one,11.x
