Hi all.
In my PC Windows XP Pro SP3, PSI detects the utility MRT (Microsoft Removal Tool) as discontinued.
I have searched in Microsoft site, but the product seems to me NOT-discontinued.
My MRT is updated at september.
Thanks.

Microsoft have a few tools under the heading Removal.

What path does PSI give to the End of Life programme?

Microsoft Removal Tool: Blaster/Nachi is unique to Windows XP & Windows 2000 in that it was loaded onto Windows before Microsoft produced the latest Malicious Software Removal Tool which, as you correctly state, is updated monthly.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/833330

As Secunia state it is difficult to remove the file from XP if that is what you want to do.

It is harmless & I would just ignore it.

EDIT
I assume from the relevancy score that you have fixed this issue. If not there are more details here where you can also post questions:

On that basis, I will lock this thread for U sometime tomorrow unless U post back asking for it to be left open.

This will protect your mail box from possible update emails from "tag on" posts

You can of course lock threads U have created. Just click the ACCEPT button in the post of the helper who offered U the best solution/advice to solve your problem.
