Hi,

I have currently got 3.0 Beta running and it's starting to fray at the edges -
Adobe AIR/ Adobe Flash 11/ Adobe Flash NDAPI/ (what is NDAPI anyway?)/ and JAVA all will not update so I guess it's time to upgrade. (All of the above are updated to the max already just not recognized by Secunia.

Looking at the possibilites for the upgrades they all look like they were shook up in a sack!

Maurice - if you're watching - I've been reading your advice elsewhere, so I've almost made up my mind as you have made things so abundantly clear already and I've got your crib sheet with all the numbers on it. I just need one little bit of clarification.
I really want auto updating as I don't have time to do it all manually, but I would like the ability to see which updates really are'nt safe. So if I want to go for auto + Secure Browser Notification can I get this with 2.0.0.3003?

I'm hoping that the upgrade will take care of the Adobe and Java problems.
Be grateful for some guidance.
BC

The short answer is yes.

These are the settings you can tweak to your liking.

It will not necessarily take care of Flash. I think the PSI SPS has the same problem as the Adobe auto updater - it does not close down everything using flash before updating. This leads to the old ocx file being "left behind" which will show as vulnerable until deleted manually.

As you have noted the download links are below my Signature Block if required.

Hope this helps.

Hi Maurice,

Been away a few days.
Got 003 downloaded no problem but as you predicted Java and Adobe weren't impressed.
Had to jigle about with separate downloads and repeated scans but now everything singing and dancing.

Many thanks for your help - much appreciated.
