Why is PSI now recommending and attempting to auto-update to beta versions?
I have never seen this before, or perhaps I just never noticed?
I do not like installing beta versions and have turned off auto updates until this is rectified.
Please advise when or if this will happen.
If it is your intent to continue this practice I will probably uninstall the software.

ALPHA (Includes Google Canary/Dev & Mozilla Aurora) & BETA programme versions are not catered for & never have been.

Adobe Flash 11.5.502.110 (ActiveX) is not in BETA - it is mainstream & is readily available here:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Once installed that version shows as patched as can be seen here:

Thank you for the Adobe link, it worked fine and downloaded and installed the proper version.

When I tried in PSI, this is what I got: Flash Player 11.5.502.113 Beta (IE)

Pleased to see you are all fixed up.

I will leave Secunia Support to comment on why they appear to have put an SPS wrapper around an application in BETA & offered it for installation.

The PSI should not advice users to install any beta version. Adobe Flash Player 11.x (ActiveX) version 11.5.502.110 is offered at www.adobe.com and is not a beta version. That exact version is what the PSI should currently advice users to install according to our version rules. Furthermore, as I have just performed an installation using our SPS package for Adobe Flash Player 11.x (ActiveX) I can confirm that the installed version was indeed the correct 11.5.502.110.

Thank you for clearing that up. I must say no BETA has ever been offered to me on my test PC's that have auto update switched on or when testing the manual SPS link.
