After downloading Chrome, using the PSI 2.0 Install Solution option, and rebooting, still have Google Chrome 23.x End-of-Life detection.
Using the Chrome Settings, about Google Chrome, it shows version is 24.0.1312.52m.
What will make PSI 2.0 happy with my Chrome installation?

Uninstalled Chrome, using Control Panel. Though it did remove the Programs (x86)/Google Chrome directory, PSI still failed to clear Chrome.
Crazy, in that Chrome also installed itself not only in Programs (x86) but also in C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Applica tion\chrome.exe, version 23.0.1271.91
Deleted the directory under Users/...., then re-ran PSI. Finally, NO instances of Chrome on the system.
Then, went to Google Chrome, downloaded and installed current version of Chrome. PSI 2.0 was happy to scan this version as clean.

A well known Google ploy.

Hi Maurice

It's a plausible explanation, but it doesn't quite fit, I'm afraid.

On my Vista Ultimate 32-bit , still running PSI 3.0.0.4001, there were armloads of old Chromes, but they didn't fool PSI, which correctly showed Google Chrome as up to date at 24.0.1312.52

However, on this Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit laptop, two rescans cannot stop PSI 3.0.0.6001 showing Google Chrome as requiring an update from 23.0.1271.97 to 24.0.1312.52, despite the fact that clicking on the 'Click to Update' shows the 24.0.1312.52 executable as the installed version, and the 23.0.1271.97 folder has been completely expunged from the laptop (it's not even in the Recycle Bin).

And yet, despite PSI flagging this EoL update as needed, it's still giving me a 100% System Score.

Whatever Google may or may not be doing, and/or whatever PSI may still be finding in the dark recesses of my laptop to convince it that 23.0.1271.97 is still somehow present (assuming it really is finding something), PSI is not giving the correct results under these circumstances.
