I have a PC and a laptop which arae quite similarly configured, refer to config in my post. Since some time I see that on my PC both the ActiveX and NPAPI are installed and shown in PSI. On my laptop I see only NPAPI version. Can somebody tell me what's the difference between both versions and what is the reason I need them or not? Do I need the ActiveX version on m laptop too?

Active X is required if you use any browser using the Trident rendering engine. See a complete list here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trident_rendering_eng...

Because IE is embedded in Windows it is a good idea to have it installed.

Thank you Maurice. The documentation you gave me is a little bit too complicated for me but I now understand the meaning of the two versions. And I now know how to download them from the Adobe site. The filenames differ a little bit fron each other. The matter is solved.
