I have just run a scan using Secunia version 2.0.0.3003 which currently reports that it is up to date (1/18/2013)

Results of a scan report:
Secunia detects Chrome version 23.0.1271.64 and reports Chrome should be updated

Chrome application itself reports it IS up to date version 24.0.1312.52m

Any advice?

Thanks,
-M-

Some of this may be obvious but I'm assuming you relaunched Chrome after updating it? Also if you go into the Windows Explorer directory where Chrome is installed, there are likely folders with the old Chrome versions as names (these can be deleted safely.. just not the current version!) and possibly a Chome_old executable (also can be deleted).

Then try a fresh scan.

Hi MattS1984,
Your instructions were perfect!
I deleted the redundant objects in the Programs folder, it took a couple of passes but I eventually got them all. I doing so, I also learned more about how to use the application.

Many thanks,
