I received the following warning from avast, any thoughts on its origin?
Infection Details

Infection: Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]

Last edited on 31st Jan, 2013 12:53 I assume this is the file you are referring to. We had a similar report yesterday for this file, also when using Avast Antivirus:

We examined the file and this is clearly a false positive (misdetection) on the part of Avast. If you update your virus definitions it seems that Avast has already fixed the issue.

A good start whenever you see a file getting detected by your antivirus is to upload the detected file to a site such as http://virustotal.com or http://virscan.org or http://virusscan.jotti.org etc. That will give you a more thorough scanning than the one provided by only a single antivirus.
