I plan on getting a new laptop with Windows 8 on it in December of this year. I want the programs that I install to run in the Desktop app, and not in Metro.

I would like to know if Secunia PSI 2.x is compatible and officially supported in Windows 8, and if installed whether it will run in the Desktop app or in Metro.

I'm glad to learn it is supported. So if I install it it will be a Desktop app, right?

Sorry about that - I was testing something without using my proper log on.

When using the desktop mine is in the tasktray like normal.
