For several weeks, Secunia has been reporting that the following programs are "updating" and are grayed-out inSecunia's list:
Adobe Shockwave Player11.x (NPAPI), Oracle Java JDK1.7.x Oracle Java JRE 1.7.x (32 & 64 bit) Sun Java JDK 1.6x 64 bit.

I have uninstalled all Java 1.6 files
I manually updayed Flash.
I manually installed Java 1.7 (all above files)
I am getting a popiup every day that says I need to update Java.
I don't want to do an ignore, becaues these are the latest verisons of those programs.

How can I get Secunia to recognize these updates?

What paths is PSI showing to the various files in question?

1. Write down the exact file path & install version - return to the Forum & type that information.
2. Take a screen shot & publish that.

Doing that for Flash is OK, but ALL the other files in the list have TODAY'S date (latest update date), so they are not old files. If I delete them, all my Java programs will fail.

PSI is reading the meta data on your PC. What path does it give to JAVA that it claims is out of date?

That is an old version of JDK & requires removal. Latest versions are here:

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/down...

As you will note on the Oracle site unless you are a developer you do not require JDK.

Please bear in mind that once your have sorted out your current problem Oracle JAVA will remain vulnerable with at least two zero day exploits.

Thank!. I manually installed JRE 1.7 U15 32-bit, then removed all previous versions. I was fooled by WIndows explorer's date on the file, whcih must have been caused by the auto-update not actually doing the replacement. Now I have ot install the x64 version.
Thanks again.
