I have fixed this problem. I found my original post and followed the link rqry supplied. this led to the link for the latest update.
Apache does make life interesting.

Now does anyone know how to close the thread from an edit ?

Hello Community,

Secunia says I should manually update Apache from 2.2.23 to 2.2.24.
As with my last update this is very difficult to do. I have followed the link to the update page but do not see how to update Apache for Windows.

Please help !
