Recently, when I've been running PSI 3.0.0.6001 by clicking on the icon in the taskbar, it's been taking an age to load, on both my Vista and my W7 laptops, and usually comes up with the message:-
'Web Browser. Stop running this script?
A script on this page is causing your web browser to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive. Yes No'

I do not know what is causing this, but even after I say not to stop it, I sometimes have to abort PSI when it still hasn't done anything for a couple of hours.

I've just put 3.0.0.6005 on the W7 machine, and PSI came up very quickly and without trouble or the message, but the Change Log for 3.0.0.6005 has nothing to indicate that this is a known, or a fixed, issue.

[Edit} And it's just happened again on the Vista box updated to 6005, though it did go straight to the results screen this time when I clicked on 'No'..

There are numerous reasons why you get that message. This may help:

Thanks Maurice

But what has Internet Explorer got to do with it?

I thought I was watching psi.exe running, with not a browser in sight?
