I receive this message after rescanning with Psi v 3.0.0.7009."Last scan: undefined" Checking the services on Win 7 shows "Secunia PSI Agent" started and "Secunia Update Agent" missing. I uninstalled and reinstalled Psi but no change.

I'm not 100% sure but I guess it's caused by a server issue. My PSI went red during the last hour or so and scan doesn't run properly. I don't think it's a good idea to uninstall/install PSI. Just wait till the server issue has been solved.

The same problem here. Secunia does a quick scan and immediately asks to do a new scan because I might have outdated software. The first time I have this problem.

I think everyone's icon is sitting at red, score "unknown", "Please run a scan, you might have outdated software", "Last Scan: undefined", run the scan, goes right back ot the same message. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still red, still the same message, no announcements on the website, came to the forums and discovered I'm not alone.

O.K. Seems there are quite a few of us with this problem. How do we get Secunia to look into it?

Are we all Firefox users?

What does a false red icon in the sys tray and an error message at the end of a scan have to do with Firefox or any other browser?

Same problem and yep, also a firefox user. To check, I just changed my default browser for WIndows to Internet Explorer and tried again. Same problem. I don't see how it could be because of Firefox then, unless just having the browser installed is interfering somehow, which doesn't seem likely.

I don't see how it is a browser problem.
No Java installed here.

It started on this machine today.

Online Software Inspector (OSI) seems to be working fine if anyone needs to check. However. hovering the mouse over the red square seems to give true results i.e 'All programs are up to date.'

Good point, I'm getting that mouse-over message (all OK) too. My icon turned red sometime yesterday (Tuesday), and it sounds like this is one more case where the the red icon is indicating failure to connect to Secunia rather than a problem with installed apps.

I noticed the same behaviour as from yesterday (the 19th og June). I also notice a few other new threads with essentially the same problem reported. I tried to uninstall Secunia and then reinstall Secunia, but it did not help.

The server issue has been fixed by now. Please reopen the PSI interface, perform a scan, and let us know if you are still having any issues.

I haven't re-tried a scan yet, but since the icon was back to green as of when I booted today, probably no point. Let me add my thanks to those from the others for the relatively quick fix.

RegistyID was mentioned. Some people saying they dont see it. If I use my "normal" account, I dont see it. But when I open regedit as Administrator, I can see the ID and its ok.

Does this has something to do it does not work properly even if it works for some people? Should I try to delete all secunias from the registry and install the software again?

Quick update:
The previously mentioned server issue was fixed, but some users are now affected by a different issue which we are still investigating. I will update this thread as soon as I have any news.

Up and running again. Thank you very much. This is such a great program that I missed it a lot. So great to have it performing as well as it usually does.
