This has been going on for some days now. If I get it to stay open for a bit, pretty soon I get a window telling me it had to close. I have V3. Is anyone else having trouble with this. Seems like it's one thing after another lately.

Is it Windows that is issuing the closure notice? If so does it give a code - example 8024001F?

Have you looked in the OS Event Log for any Warning or Error messages?

A window comes up stating that psi has encountered a problem and had to close, then says a report has been sent to Microsoft and if there is a solution they will notify. There is no error code.

I looked in that event log area and that is so way beyond me that it's hopeless for me to even be in there.

I did go into services and see that psi was set to start manually. I changed that to automatic (delayed start). But now how do I get the icon for psi in my taskbar?

Try a reboot - it should appear.

EDIT:

Is everything now OK? If not I would try a reinstall using this link:

http://secunia.com/products/consumer/PSI/sys_req/

Just click the download link - the installer will remove the old before reinstalling which should put all the settings back to default.

I did shut down and then restart yesterday. It seems to be staying on and working, so far.

Thanks for your time.
