PSI shows I need to update Adobe Illustrator CS6, but when I click to update it opens an Adobe CC page named "Download Adobe Illustrator graphic design software," and nothing else happens. It never updates. Not sure what I'm doing wrong if anything. I had to open a new thread because the old one got locked somehow.

As recent as CS6 is, I can't imagine it has been marked as end-of-life yet.

I am having the same issue. PSI shows a score of 99%, and Adobe Illustrator CS6 needs to be updated from v16.0.3.691 to v16.0.5 (32- and 64-bit). If I click the Click to update link, I get an Adobe page wanting me to download Illustrator CC. However, if I open the Adobe Application Manager instead, it says Illustrator is up to date. What gives? Is this a PSI issue or an Adobe one?

You locked your first thread by activating the Accept button rather than Reply which keeps it active.

Adobe Illustrator for CS6 is not End of Life & PSI is clearly show this by urging users to apply the hotfix.

The vulnerability is notified here:
https://secunia.com/advisories/58063/

that notifications informs users there is a hot fix & leads to here:

http://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/illustrat...

the hot fix important installation detail is here:

http://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/illustrat...

There is no direct link therefore PSI will not auto update if that is expected.

Hope this helps.

Well, PSI was advertised as a product that would do the update. If that's not the case, then there needs to be more information given such as you listed.

Thanks you for the links. I'll make the updates and repost when successful.

I applied the update manually, and I am now on 16.0.05, and after re-scanning with PSI it no longer shows that the update is necessary. It would have been nice if PSI would have taken us directly to the links you listed above. It would have led to a lot less consternation and frustration.

Thanks again for the help.

Pleased to see you are all fixed up. Like most vendors the Secunia advertising can be "colourful" (misleading) as you have clearly seen here:

https://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/persona...

Once you start digging around little snippets like this appear which limits the extent of the update feature..

http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal...

I do not use auto updating but there are more than a handful of posts on this Forum indicating that this feature acts like being in BETA or fails to update in a timely manner.
