Hello
Vista 32 bit, path = C:\ProgramFiles\Java\jre1.6.0_01\bin\java.exe.

The above just says downloading then says verifying download but it stays in the PSI section of programs to be updated and continues to say downloading.
I hope I have given you enough information to advise me appropriately.
Thank you for your help.
Peter

Check your task try for a Java Update icon. I see one waiting in mine for attention right now. (even though my PSI 2 scan didn't show it needs it. Yet.)

I assume you are authorising PSI to install the update automatically?

If that is the case there are many previous reports of the system failing.

Far quicker to do it manually using the Oracle JAVA link:

http://www.java.com/en/download/ie_manual.jsp?loca...

or here

Yes, I have Update handling set to Update. I updated it manually as suggested. Hopefully someone from Secunia will either fix the automatic updating process or if not possible just set it to require a manual update so people will not be left wondering why it is not updating on its own. BTW, is there an email address or web form for reporting programs to Secunia that are not updating properly or do they monitor this forum and thus reporting them here is sufficient?

Over the last month or so they have not monitored the Forum. Best you contact them - details here:
