eggbox Scanning never starts

I tried to run PSI 3 on a machine that has had it installed for a long time bit it never actually starts scanning. It just sits there saying that is is preparing to scan.

The machine is a netbook running Windows 7 Starter Edition (2GB of RAM, 250GN hard drive, Atom processor).

I uninstalled and reinstalled, I also set the trusted sites in IE to the https://*.secunia.com (as per another message on the forums), I also disabled the anti-virus program (just in case that was stopping PSI getting to the Internet).

I have also had the message that Secunia cannot get to the Internet and my userame could not be verified (looks like I got the whole 9 yards here).

Any ideas?
