Hello
Secunia PSI flags Adobe Flash Player and says it needs to be manually updated. I use Chrome and only occasionally Edge and am running Win 10 x 64. It shows 20.0.0.228(IE) =installed and 20.0.0.267(IE) as secure.
I have tried to resolve this myself unsuccessfully and Adobe says I am updated.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Peter.

Is this relevant? https://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/15...

If not, where does PSI say the at risk program is? Check the Dashboard entry - expand it to see the program's location and let us know if you need more help.

What version of Windows do you have? If win10, was it Win10 that you bought or have you upgrade to Win10?

Peter,
The updating of Flash on Windows 10 for IE11 and Edge is controlled by Microsoft via Windows Update and, depending on your settings, is installed automatically. No reboot is required.

The latest patch was made available on Windows Update yesterday and works perfectly.

If you want PSI to verify the install you should reboot and run a full PSI scan.

If Flexera Secunia are telling you to manually update Windows 10 using a link provided by them they ARE WRONG and such advice is misleading and unhelpful.

After a reboot and full PSI scan have you still got an issue?

If so what path does PSI give you?

Although I do not use third party browsers the same general principle to the updating of Google applies in that it is controlled by Google not Adobe or in this instance Flexera Secunia.

Below is now irrelevant as I clicked to rescan and it was successful. Thank you for pointing me in that direction and I will remember to use that again if the same situation recurs.
Regards,
Peter

I run Win 10, ver 1511, 64 byte;

The path is C:\Windows\SysWOw64\Macromed\Flash\Flash.ocx.

I have updated Windows and rebooted.

Secunia says the program, Adobe Flash Player, needs a manual update.

I have tried to update using MSIE 11, Chrome, and Edge.

Thanks for your continued cooperation and I am only a mid level user. Let me know if I missed any advice in your reply or if I missed something I should be doing.
Peter

Peter,
Excellent news. Please remember that only Microsoft should update Flash on Windows 10.
DO NOT manually do anything and IGNORE any advice given by Flexera Secunia or any other third party vendor on updating FLASH. In others words ONLY USE WINDOWS UPDATE.

This should help you understand it a bit more:

These will help you test IE and Edge in the future:
