On 2 Windows 10 laptops, PSI2 is no longer working, I presume after a Windows update last week.

It appears to complete a "scan" in around 30 seconds but finds no programs. On my machine I did a full uninstall (using Revo) and reinstalled, and also disabled Noscript but the same outcome. I also allowed psi.exe through the Windows firewall and then turned the firewall off. No change after either action.

On my second (unchanged) machine, the result is the same. So presumably MS has done something that prevents PSI running properly. Ideas on how to solve welcome. Or maybe I will need to change to a newer program. Thanks

Confirmed -- and it's not just Windows 10. My Windows 7 laptop now has the same problem (arriving at exactly the same time, early this morning).

I have seen this fault numerous times in the past and on all occasions it was an outrage from the Flexera (ex Secunia) servers.

The Flexera Staff have ceased publishing their "opening hours" for CSI/PSI support but the old Secunia staff did not work at weekends nor have they been active on this Forum in a helpful way for almost 18 months.

My advice is to sit tight until tomorrow when hopefully Flexera will fix it.

Hi Maurice, Strange! I haven't experienced any problem on my 2 pc's. Yesterday and this morning I ran full scans succesfully. I don't understand that if there are server problems I see no problems. Any idea?

As you know I do not use PSI on a regular basis. I installed version 3 this morning then version 2 in an attempt to help users and experienced the same problem that many are reporting. As stated this type of behaviour has happened in the past and I am merely suggesting that those waiting for a response from Flexera should be very very patient because of their working habits and their legendary lack of any communication skills.

I am not sure if this is a universal problem or how the servers are allocated so cannot help anyone further.

Seems to be a common problem. I note some answers say that it has occurred frequently in the past - but I have not experienced that. Until a year or so ago, I ran PSI2 every weekend. Now I let it do its own thing once per week. But I have not experienced the current problem before. Still, the best advice seems to be to wait and see if Flexera can fix the problem. Certainly, uninstalling and reinstalling is obviously not the answer. Fingers crossed. I would be disappointed to have to shift to Belarc Advisor for example, as I have found PSI excellent.

Windows 10 now seems to be working. Windows 7, however, is not -- it's 'loading' (indefinitely). Dec 19, 2016, 9 am EST.

@dogregor. Have the same problem since about 45 mins. Considered the behaviour I think Secunia is working on the server(s). Just be patient and wait. I am in the Amsterdam time zone.

I agree -- because the W10 instance just switched to the same status as the W7 instance. 'Waiting is' (Heinlein - SiaSL). I took the opportunity to download and install the current version on both systems, just in case. (Yes, I know it's supposed to be automatic. I'm just not very trusting ... ;) )

PSI2 now working fine on my systems. Must have been a week-end thing! Maybe someone at Flexera flicked the wrong switch when heading for the pub on Friday evening. I guess the thread is worth leaving here in case it happens again.

Well ... the W10 systems appears back to normal. But the W7 system is insisting that Windows Update isn't installed on it -- even though it is. I have disabled some of the crap MS is doing to make W7 as non-private as W10 -- but it's there, and it's none of Secunia's business how I configure it. Getting annoyed here... I'm in a vicious circle. Run scan, almost finish, get told to install Windows Update.

As of this evening (Dec 20, 2016), all is back to normal on both machines, pretty much without effective intervention on my part.

I did do a PSI deinstall/reinstall a couple of times, the last time (yesterday) indicating the problem on the questionnaire (in response to 'why?') and saying that I was switching to Ninite if it didn't work today. I doubt that affected anything, though.
