I cannot tell from the cryptic changelog on this site whether the risk of installing an update is necessary --- What are the details?

Hi!

In some cases the OS would not be detected, and then the PSI would not tell you to update your Windows.

So if your OS is not listed in "Patched" or "insecure" you should really get PSI 1.0.0.4.

Even if you have PSI 1.0.0.4 and your OS is not being detected, we are working on getting all of the Windows versions in our database in the next couple of days.

Windows 7 will not be displayed as it's a BETA version.

(Some pirated (illegal) versions of Windows will not be displayed either)
