Like many others, I've been experiencing the problem where the PSI GUI hangs on the initial screen that says "Loading" and never gets past that point. Here is how I solved the problem:

Although the solution is already documented at http://secunia.com/support/psi/faq#s1 , there is one key detail currently missing from the instructions there: it fails to take into account what happens if you are trying to run PSI as a non-administrator.

If you are running as a non-administrator and start up PSI (for example, by double-clicking the tray icon), you will be prompted for credentials for an administrative account. Then PSI will run as that administrative user, not as your main logged-in user.

As a result, for PSI to run properly, you have to follow the instructions at http://secunia.com/support/psi/faq#s1 for the administrative user. The easiest way to do this is to log on to Windows as the administrative user, then go to Internet Options and make the adjustments documented in the FAQ.

I hope you find this helpful. If you're with Secunia and you're reading this, it would be great if you could add this information to the FAQ entry.
