What is this? Why does it say it needs updating? Windows update says everything is up to date?

What is it?

There are numerous explanations of what Node js is all about if you use it as a search parameter in your browser. This is one example:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Node.js

Why does it say it needs updating?

Flexera (PSI) and the vendor have published the details on why you should update:

Windows update says everything is up to date?

It has got nothing to do with Microsoft therefore you will not be offered an update via Windows Update or the catalog.

The file path that PSI gives you should give a clue to which installed programme you have that is hosting Node js. If you publish the path we may be able to help more.

You now know which programme is causing the problem. Hopefully Nicehash Miner have issued a stable version update you can download.
