I posted Dec. 15 about this problem I received an answer, then tried to reply to that answer and I have not been able to get signed into the forum until tonight when I tried. The thread is now locked so I will start again.

Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) 4.x
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msxml4.dll

Showing as end of life. How do I deal with it to get rid of it?

You should find MSXML 4 and possibly other MSXML 4 entries in Program and Features. Just uninstall them like any other unwanted application. Just be careful you do not remove MSXML 3 or MSXML 6 which are current and supported by Microsoft for Windows 7, 8.1 and 10.

I did not find any listings for MSXML in my Programs and Features so I still don't know what to do with this.

Just carry out a routine manual deletion.

PSI shows the file path to where MSXML4.DLL is installed so you should be able manually delete it.

Open PSI>once open select Show Programs.

RIGHT click on the icon or named file that represents the programme in error

(C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msxml4.dll)>select Show Details - that will open a box showing the path & version

number of the offending file.

Now double LEFT click on C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msxml4.dll

That will open Windows Explorer - now look for msxml4.dll. Once located RIGHT click on it & select delete.

There are many folders and files in SYSWOW64 - as previously advised only delete MSXML4.DLL - MSXML3 and MSXML6 files will also been seen and are required by Windows.

Run a full PSI scan & the problem should be resolved.
