Secunia fro what I have read Secunia does the best it can to follow as many updates as possible, but in reality it is up to the vendor of software to notify you. Secunia is a really good FREE program that some just expect to much of!

Good question. At best, PSI might not notify you about a new vendor patch for up to a week. Glad to hear you're using other resources to keep track of software updates in a timely manner. PSI is just one of my tools too.

By the way, all of the Firefox 3.0.x releases fix security issues. Be sure you have Firefox configured to check for updates. It does that at least once every 24 hours.

Edit: I just noticed that another Firefox security release, 3.0.10, is due to be released this week. Firefox automatic updates should offer the update to you shortly after its release if you have "check for updates" enabled.

That's the reason this thread was started. Just open up firefox and open up help/check for updates. You should get an update to 3.0.9

3.0.10 was released today. Use Help > Check for Updates to get it.

Curiously on one computer the update went unnoticed, I checked and it was just there. On my other machine I got a notification, I will light up my laptop to see what happens on it.

Do a manual scan, Phil. PSI should give you a notification that Firefox is patched then.
