Secunia used to track kmplayer but since updating to 2.9.4.1434 I don't see an entry in the Secunia scan list.

I think this is the first time I have updated since Pandora took over the program from the original developer.

Ask Secunia to include it.

Go to the patched tab - scroll to the bottom & U will see a link marked "Program Missing? Suggest it here"

Complete the details & it may show on future scans.

Last edited on 30th Apr, 2009 09:53 Hi

I saw your post and tested it myself.

KMPlayer 2.9.4.1434 had a lot of changes to the .exe file which we use for the detection. I have updated our detection rules so the PSI should now also detect KMPlayer 2.9.4.1434.

Excellent!

It never occurred to me that the tracking mechanism was rules-based (and could be 'fooled' by enough/major changes).

I assumed it was a sort of central database to which program authors contributed pristine copies voluntarily.

Thanks for the info, and for the quick action :)
