For the flash fix---when checking the download path from adobe it comes as 10d.ocx not 10b.ocx as recommended by secunia. I have tried the fix over and over and finally figured out why the so called fix won't fix it. Looks like I'm not the only dyslexic. Let me know what else I can do to remedy this.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10b.ocx is desired
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10d.ocx is what I get

Hi,
We'll need a bit more info from you to diagnose the problem. Could you please tell us:

1) Your flash version
2) The Advisory that tags your flash installation as insecure
3) If there are more than one entry for flash in your list of detected programs
4) If you downloaded the fix by the PSI links, or from another source online

Thank you in advance.

Bless your heart for your promptness, courtesy and considerations.
Answers to your questions

1) my version is Adobe Fash Player 10.0.22.87 (Active X)

2) Advisory tag Adobe Flash Player 10.x 10.0.32.18 (Active X) CAT 4

3) This is the only version on our system
(Since coming onboard with Secunia last year, your system showed me the problems with Adobe then that I had muliple versions and you showed what to do at that time as well.)

4) As always the download was done through the PSI as that is where the problem and remedy was posted.

By the way, you folks ROCK!! Thank you for your time and attention.

But 10.0.22.87 was insecure 2 releases ago - the right version is 10.0.42.34 now - and if Adobe behaves in it's normal fashion it will install the new version and omit removing the old .ocx file...

Hi kimmi. Flash10d.ocx is correct. Flash10b.ocx is old and should be deleted. If you run the Flash uninstaller found here http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html and then reboot, the old Flash10.ocx file(s) will be removed. Then do a fresh Flash Player installation for Internet Explorer and for Firefox (if you use Firefox).
