I use Firefox. I try to avoid Internet Explorer, too many security issues. But when I click on Secunia "Solution" to fix two Foxit 3.x "urgent" security problems in Firefox, it always comes up in IE. I am unable to fix these two warnings; I get this message box:
JS Script file 173B An error haqs occurred in the script on this page.
I typed the above url into IE and nothing happened; couldn't get to that site. I've done multiple Secunia scans and want to be able to fix these two urgent Secunia warnings. Anybody have any idea what this is about? ec

You can make Firefox your default browser.
In "Control Panel", click on the "Add or Remove Programs" icon.
On the left, click on "Set Program Access and Defaults".
Under "Choose a configuration:" click on "Custom".
Under "Choose a default Web browser" click on "Firefox".
To the right of "Internet Explorer" click on "Enable access to this program" to remove the 'check' in the box to the left of it.
Click on the "OK" button at the bottom.
1) When you click on Secunia "Solution", is it in Firefox?
2) When did you see the message box with the script file error?
The link you have posted is to the script file itself. The message is telling you that this is the script file with the error. Don't worry about seeing what's in the file. :)
Open Foxit Reader. Click on "Help", click on "About Foxit Reader...". The current version is 188.8.131.525 .
3) Is that the version you show?
If not already, please run PSI in Advanced Mode.
To do this click on the PSI icon, in the system tray, to open the interface. In the top right corner, is "SIMPLE" blue in color and "ADVANCED" black? If not, click on "ADVANCED".
Click on the "Insecure" tab, Click on the [+] to the left of the program in question.
In the "Toolbox" click on the "Technical details" icon. Listed under "Version Detected:" it shows the old version PSI is reporting. The "Installation Path" is where PSI is finding the old stuff.
To go there, click on the "Open Folder" icon. This will open the folder where the old file(s) is(are).
Please post back with answers to the above three questions and the "Installation Path" for the insecure version(s) of Foxit.
