Hi all.
I'm using PSI 1.5.0.2.
PSI detects insecure IE8 and Windows Vista operating system.
The references are:
- For IE8: http://secunia.com/advisories/40895/
- Vista: http://secunia.com/advisories/40936/
But the two products are already updated with the latest patches.

Hi,

Microsoft Updates frequently require a reboot in order to "Kick in". When dealing with Microsoft Updates, I recommend that you follow this procedure:

1) Install all available patches, reboot
2) Recheck Microsoft update, install anything available
3) If anything installed in step 2, repeat step 1
4) Rescan with the PSI

hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.
Always I perform a reboot after every update.
I did what you suggested, but there are no updates.

Hi,

Have you rescanned with the PSI?
Try opening Microsoft Update again, and click the "Check for updates" button. Any results?

Hi

Had identical problem. Resolution was to cold boot system, then run a a PSI scan. Important to note not using the re-scan button next to the 'insecure' program but using the SCAN tab.

Hope this helps, Regards, D.
