Are there any plans to extend the functionality of PSI to allow to export the information in tab 'Patched Programs' in *.csv format

Would like to see in such file the following columns:
- Patched Program Name
- Version detected
- Installation Path
- Category of Threat if any
- Hostname
- Username logged on
- Domain-, Workgroup-Name or local

Checkboxes should allow to select
- the file format if others but *.csv like *xml or *.html can be offered
- daily or after scheduled full scan completed or with last full scan results
- a line where path can be entered to store the extracts. Should accept UNC-path on network share
- a line (box) where the file name can be entered
- and if possible option to select if new *.csv will be added to an existing file of same name on the network path or replace it

Same function welcome for 'insecure' and 'auto-update' tabs.

P.S. the Auto-update function works fine for me running TP v1.9.0.2

Last edited on 13th Aug, 2010 12:17 Hi,
There are currently no plans to extend the PSI with reporting capeabilities. Please keep in mind that the PSI is intended for Personal users, and that the absolute majority of such users would have no use for such a featured.

However, the CSI has reporting functions already build-in. For more information, see http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/corporat... or write sales@secunia.com for more information.

hope this helps.

I have to say that I disagree. I try to capture logs of scans of every sort in some manner, AV/AS, RT Scans, whatever. From day to day, even week to week scans don't tell me a whole bunch, but by doing a difference analysis on those points in time, I can see and spot trends. So I find export/logging highly valuable.

Hi,

I'll make sure to forward your suggestion to our developers. Thank you for caring about the quality of the PSI.

However, I must still say I believe most users of the PSI do not analyze logs to spot trends. :)

I agree with you. PSI is a great tool for me and I don't need more options. The reporting functions mentioned are more a tool for professionals.

I hate to admit it, but I am probably not quite as diligent as I should be in this regard. Howsoever, I do try to be in a more log reading mode when folks such as Secunia put out alerts.
