I got an error message while installing PSI 2, after uninstalling PSI 1.x
The message said" error opening file for writing. c\program files(x86)\Secunia\psi\psi.exe.

After PSI 1.x was uninstalled I got that same message again and also while trying to reinstall PSI 1.x.

I use no passwords and I have admin rights.

What is going on?? Is it Win 7 or the install??

Thanks for the help,
Dave

Hi,

Please try clearing your browser's temporary internet flies and redownload the installer.

The PSI Installer needs to be run as the administrative user. Does the problem reoccur?

hope this helps.

now I get a message that "on older PSI in on the computer and cannot be removed". I have used Control Pan/remove programs, Revo uninstaller and registry cleaner to remove all traces of PSI 1.x and still get that message!

Where is it hiding out??
