Someone help, please! Windows XP Home Service Pack 3 Firefox
PSI shows I have two "End of Life" (had 5) been working on this thing 3 hrs & it is a pain to say the least! I did upgrade to the Secunia 2 Beta and am trying to use the advanced mode. None of these problems showed up on the "simple" mode however, I did get Picassa 2 deleted on Advanced mode. I have used ccleaner. scan & rescanned & rebooted!

ITunes 7.6.2.9. shows as "End of Life" Threat - Control Panel shows 10.0.0.68 installed.

Where are these vulnerabilties showing up?

b]FINDING A FILE PATH - ALL PSI VERSIONS EXCEPT VERSION 2 (BETA)[/b]

To locate the exact file that the Secunia PSI has detected, use or switch to the ADVANCED interface, then :

1 Click on the + sign of the programme to "expand' it.
2 Click on Technical Details in the Toolbox to see the installation path of the detected file. (Copy (CTRL+C) & paste (CTRL+V) the Installation Path of the file back to the Forum if U are unsure what to do next.

PSI VERSION 2 (BETA)

From the DASHBOARD page click on RESULTS.

1. This will show U the file that is vulnerable.
2. Click the + sign next to the file.
3. This will reveal the path.
4. Highlight it then copy (CTRL+C) & then paste (CTRL+V) that path back to the Forum if U do not know what to do next.

Hi,

Since the version you pasted here is "7.x", it is much more likely that the version you are trying to remove is "End-Of-Life". The 7.x versions of iTunes stopped being supported by Apple some time ago - Today, only the 10.x branch is supported.

I suggest you enter Advanced mode (by clicking "Advanced" in the top right corner), and check whether or not there is an entry for iTunes in both the End-Of-Life and Patched tabs. If so, the installation located on the End-Of-Life tab should be removeable without damaging your main installation of iTunes.
Please see Apple's own steps for removing iTunes: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925

Once this is done, try reinstalling the newest version of iTunes, if that has disappeared from the scan. You can get the installer here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

hope this helps.
