Upon scanning, I receive results indicating that I must patch both "regular", as well as "64 bit" downloads (e.g., Java JRE 1.6.x/6.x AND JRE 1.6.x/6.x (64 bit) ). I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. Should I download both and, if not, how do I prevent/dispose of the non-64 bit fix? Thank you.

Fred has given U the correct links to update JAVA.

Do U really require JAVA 64 Bit? Even if U use the 64Bit browser it is highly unlikely U would require it installed. If it is required by a programme U will be told that fact & can then install it.

Windows does not require JAVA to work. I would strongly advise U uninstall it. It is clearly marked 64 Bit in Control Panel>add/remove.
