PSI continued to say my Thunderbird 3.1.x was insecure. Upgraded twice - still insecure. However, in the Help of Thunderbird is a 'check for updates'. I did this and , after two attempts, first one failed, 'updated' Thunderbird. PSI now says I am 100%. This is the fix for this annoying problem.

Hi
Thank you for sharing this information with us and our users.
What version of the PSI do you use?

Did you use manual or automatic install when attempting to install the patch with the PSI?

Forgot to give you all the info you asked for - it was Manual, using your 'one-click' solution and following the prompts from there.

The download link offered is for Thunderbird 3.1.5 which is the secure version for now.

Did you notice if you had more than one Thunderbird installation detected?

Did you rescan after the installation of the patch?

The version your 'solution' button sent me to was 3.1.3. I upgraded to 3.1.5 on the Thunderbird page on my computer.

Sorry, only one Thunderbird detected and I did rescan after the first upgrade and PSI said it was insecure. The insecure 3.1.3 disappeared on upgrading with 3.1.5
