I am totally lost as the solution asks for a file association and I have no idea how to go about that. Foxit Reader did not seem to work nor did Firefox. Anyone out there that can help a confused illiterate computer user?
Joyce
P.S. I will now rescan to see if that does any good.

Path where it was detected? I don't know

The Image decoder is a free add on to the Foxit PDF reader.

It is not required to read PDF documents. Have U downloaded the add on in error or have U found a reason to use it?

Thank you Maurice for explaining this to me. I don't know if I added this by mistake--probably did--but it seemed easiest to just update it once I found it!
By the way, I may have mentioned this before but your signature always jumps out at me because my husband's name is Maurice and my first name is Joyce.
Thanks again!

If U want to get rid of it then I would.

1. Uninstall Foxit via Control Panel>add remove.
2***. Complete a full PSI rescan - if U are 100% secure after the scan then reinstall Foxit from here:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_foxit/

Just check each box on download so U do not install the Ask toolbar/Google Toolbar & like items that U may not want.

2*** If U have got insecurities what are the paths?

FINDING A FILE PATH

ALL PSI VERSIONS EXCEPT VERSION 2

To locate the exact file that the Secunia PSI has detected, use or switch to the ADVANCED interface, then :

1 Click on the + sign of the programme to "expand' it.
2 Click on Technical Details in the Toolbox to see the installation path of the detected file. (Copy (CTRL+C) & paste (CTRL+V)) the Installation Path of the file back to the Forum.

PSI VERSION 2

From the DASHBOARD page click on SCAN RESULTS.

1. This will list all your programmes with a + to the left of each one.
2. Click the + sign next to the item that U want help with.
3. This will reveal the path under DETECTED INSTANCES.
4. Highlight it then copy (CTRL+C) then paste (CTRL+V)) that path back to the Forum.

Thank you again, Maurice! I have printed off your message for future reference. You are a "wealth" of information!
And I am now 100% secure (for a while at least).

Nice to see U are all secure. Have a nice weekend.

If all your problems are now resolved could U please lock (Accept) the thread. This will prevent us both from receiving update emails from "tag on" posts.
