Good evening,
Can anyone please help I am getting 98% instead of 100%
because the scan result shows microsoft powerpoint viewer 2003 as end of life.
Trouble is I do not have 2003 but 2007 .Thus I do not see how I can uninstall it.

I suspect U installed PowerPoint Viewer 2007 without uninstalling the 2003 version first.

1. Uninstall Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2007 using Control Panel>add/remove.

2. Now uninstall the remnants of the 2003 version using this tool:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

Scroll down & U will see a FIXIT Tool for Office 2003 - use that.

Complete a full rescan using PSI. Has that cleared the problem?

If so, install the latest PowerPoint Viewer from here:

Uninstall 2007 then 2003 as explained.

Reboot & run a full scan. If it still shows an error what is the path?

FINDING A FILE PATH

ALL PSI VERSIONS EXCEPT VERSION 2

To locate the exact file that the Secunia PSI has detected, use or switch to the ADVANCED interface, then :

1 Click on the + sign of the programme to "expand' it.
2 Click on Technical Details in the Toolbox to see the installation path of the detected file. (Copy (CTRL+C) & paste (CTRL+V)) the Installation Path of the file back to the Forum.

PSI VERSION 2

From the DASHBOARD page click on SCAN RESULTS.

1. This will list all your programmes with a + to the left of each one.
2. Click the + sign next to the item that U want help with.
3. This will reveal the path under DETECTED INSTANCES.
4. Highlight it then copy (CTRL+C) then paste (CTRL+V)) that path back to the Forum.
