You really need to provide more info for anyone to be in with a chance of helping you.
What version of psi are you using and what is your Operating System ? What updates are you referring to ?

[1]The PSI is not a general update checker. This means that it will not notify you simply if there is a cosmetic/feature/bugfix release, but only if this release fixes a security issue.

When a security issue is discovered with a product, we issue a 'Secunia Advisory'. This advisory will show the minimum version to be secure (if there is one); and these advisories are what we base the version rules on.

[2]When updating Microsoft Applications, it is a good idea to keep in mind that some Microsoft Updates do not "kick in" until after a reboot. Therefore, it is recommended to try following this procedure when installing Microsoft Updates:

1) Check Microsoft Update: install all security-related patches
2) Reboot
3) Repeat step 1: repeat step 2 if anything was installed at this step
4) Run a full rescan with the PSI
