Auto update is set for the Adobe updates. The Install Solution column for the ActiveX line says 'Up-to Date (AU)' -- auto-update, I assume. But for the NPAPI line, the Install Solution column says, "Update delayed - prog..." The tooltip for this field says, "Auto Updates are enabled for this program."

Widening the column doesn't work, and narrowing the other columns doesn't help.

I guess the message means that I have to close a program or reboot the PC to complete the installation, but it would be helpful to know whether things are normal, or if there was some failure.

Is this a defect?

The troubleshoot report doesn't say much.

Hi ,

Your situation is normal , a programme is using the NPAPI plug-in , for example Firefox , and so you need to close the programme in question . Flash should the update pretty quickly without a reboot , as the PSI update mechanism checks every minute or so to see if it can continue .

A lot of fiddling by dragging the first block line after the programme entry column ending ;ie;#; can make the AU column fully legible ,but is likely to go back to the defaault next time you launch the GUI .

Thanks for the guidance. Yes, that helps.
Things did work out as you said, although not quickly and the message didn't update until I manually re-scanned.

I'll take your word about the fiddly way of expanding the app column to give the message column more room. But you might want to consider finding some way of making the message more accessible -- maybe by displaying the full message in a tool tip.
