PSI reports 3 vulnerabilities in IE7. All three vulnerabilities are SA33035. The solution takes me to Windows Update, but I have all patches applied. How do I resolve this?

The same here!

PSI wrote up 100% secure, until the automatic MS update this morning.
The all of sudden I get three IE7 and one IE6 vulnerability.
Updated seven items via MSUpdate manually.
Scanned PSI.
Same vulnerabilities.

Greetings

Secunia likewise shows my install of IE7 to be insecure (along with Windows Media Player and Windows XP Home SP3).

File path is C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

I checked Microsoft Update repeatedly and there are no other updates needed (except Searchlight, but it's hard to see why not having that add on would be viewed as a security threat).

Go to the iexplore.exe and right click on it and what does it indicate in Properties?

Mine indicates 7.00.6000.16762 and Help then About indicates Version 7.0.5730.13

I had the same issue yesterday with Secunia. I updated to IE8 Beta, and the issue is resolved. Granted I never use IE as I am a Firefox advocate, I still installed the Beta in hopes of "patching" the security holes that IE is riddled with.

1. on some three separate occasions in time (say 2 weeks apart)recently Secunia states IE and SP3 vulnerabilities and out of date , however on MS Windows XP Pro the system is fully patched and check on windows update shows nothing necessary either in MS Windows. After some 3 to four start ups the matter clears. Reason unknown.
