I sometimes see a yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark like character
in the right lower taskbar. Pointing with the mouse doesn't show anything. Maybe somebody knows what this means?

It basically a hardware failure signal from Device Manager and can be shown for a number of devices.

Open Control Panel - Device Manager and find what item has a yellow with exclamation on it.

If U want more help what device is showing as "dodgy"?

Hi Maurice, thanks for the info, it's now clear for me that it's a hardware
warning. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) the triangle disappeared after a reboot. It's popping up and disappearing now and then, so I have to wait for the next time it shows up an then see what's the problem.

I have unlocked the thread to reply.

Rebooting does help sometimes rather than a mad panic. Each time it happens immediately check Device Manager. If it is the same hardware each time U may need a driver from the vendor.

If it is different piece of hardware it clearly needs further investigation in slower time.

Either way it is not earth shattering. A reboot or cold start should keep U up & running until a permanent fix is done.
